The new RocPro3D version (6.2) is available for download
In addition to general and user interface bug fixes that improve the user experience, this update gives you access to new tools for managing meshes in your projects, in particular for meshes that do not conform to the software’s requirements and also for optimizing their size, thus improving the computation time of your trajectometric simulations:
- Automatic selection of non-compliant faces after mesh consistency testing, and display of these faces in the main 2D and 3D views;
- One-click “forcing” of consistency of mesh face normals;
- Addition of automated tests to prevent irrelevant topology modifications when the model is already consistent:
- Deletion of unused points
- Inversion of normals
- Deletion of overhanging faces with self-intersections
- The addition of a random mesh resampling method which, in contrast to uniform resampling, provides a better representation of regular topological structures (e.g. ridges, slopes, etc.) in the initial mesh;
- The availability of two mesh decimation algorithms, enabling meshes to be simplified while controlling the geometric error of the decimated mesh. Combined with other tools already available, this makes it possible, for example, to handle meshes that are:
